The Fiber Artist

Wow, that sounds pretentious doesn't it. But it is the name of my company, so I decided to use it. This is where I will keep a record of works in progress in the hope that it will result in more productivity. It will also give me a place to ramble on about my life, so that maybe later I will remember what happened in ___ (fill in day, month, year of your choice).

Dental Torture is Over

At least so far as the periodontist is concerned. Yahoo! So there is nothing left but
the healing.

Yesterday I started Rayne's Birthday dress. She wanted Butterflies so she has butterflies. The overskirt is shirred so it looks sort of funny hanging on the hanger, but it is cute in person. and Very "Girly Girl" so it should meet with her approval.

My spinning wheel has been calling and I have finally felt well enough to do a little knitting on the last (very slow) fast sweater. Maybe I can finish the first sleeve tomorrow. I sure hope so.

Is This Good or Bad

With the questions worded differently the score would have been very different.

76

As a 1930s wife, I am
Very Superior

Take the test!

I have quite muddled feelings about this but I will chalk it up to being old (and a morning person).

Happy 25th Birthday Christopher

Tomorrow. But we had his dinner today because he works crazy hours tomorrow and we did not want to wait until 10:30 PM to eat dinner. So I got his socks finished Wednesday, while subbing for the most irresponsible teacher I have ever heard of. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING left to do, no assignments, no instructions, nothing. And this was not last minute, I was asked Monday Morning to sub for her on Wednesday.
He likes his socks but there is a movie on Mom.

So I moved and got a picture of him and his socks. He requested grilled hamburgers, potato salad, (made by his grandma) and Trifle. So I got up and made the Trifle and cooked the potatoes, and eggs, then took them, some onion and mayonnaise, over to my mom and she waved her wand and turned it into her potato salad. Later this week Christopher and I are going to the boot store to get him and his dad new boots, Carl will get his for Father's Day.

After I finished Christopher's socks, I started these, The Merino Lace socks from Favorite socks book, in On Line Supersocke Cotton.

And Friday was the last day of school. We have commenced summer. And the weather is hot, so I am staying inside.

Except for a quick trip up the road to pick
up 2 bags of clothes for Sierra that a neighbor called and said she had. Sierra just called and thanked Liz again, and told her she loved the clothes. And there are skirts and dresses that she will actually wear. And a good birthday was had by all.
