The Fiber Artist

Wow, that sounds pretentious doesn't it. But it is the name of my company, so I decided to use it. This is where I will keep a record of works in progress in the hope that it will result in more productivity. It will also give me a place to ramble on about my life, so that maybe later I will remember what happened in ___ (fill in day, month, year of your choice).

It has been about 3 weeks since I updated, wow. Anyway I have been stuck on sleeve island. Having now finished my requisite 3 sleeves, (I don't know, it's either too much si-fi or I really believe that all mothers should have extra hands and am planning sweaters for when it happens)
The first was picked up silly, counted all the stitches without making sure that there were half before the cables and half after. Since I pulled my usual (looking at trees not forest) and did not really pull back and look until I finished the ribbed cuff, I failed to notice that the sleeve had almost twice as many filler stitches in the front than in the back therefore twisting the cables around to the back.

Started the 2nd, and waited for the disgust to diminish before ripping. Good thing- everything had already been spit spliced so I just knitted from the really big ball and finished the whole thing. Bad thing- I had to knit 3 whole sleeves (and 4 cuffs)

If the sun ever comes out today I will graft the cuffs and be done with the sleeves.
I must wait for the sun since I am old, and deaf, (which has nothing to do with anything, but I can no longer claim to be blind since I picked up my new lenses and can now see anything [as long as I get the proper section of the TRI-focals lined up with what I want to see.]) And clean them, I just looked at the glasses and they are filthy, I am going to blame it on the dentist who cleaned 1/4 of my teeth yesterday and sprayed me a couple of times in the process. The last of the cleaning is Friday! Thank goodness it is almost over, then we can start replacing every filling and adding some new ones. I hate having my fathers teeth.
It has taken over a week to figure out that some spyware had slowed the machine to the point that no pictures would post, got that fixed now.
Here are the cuffs:

Today is the second day of spring and I took a picture of my front yard. Today is the first snow day of the school year. Silly weather.

It is still cold here and acting like February when it has been warm all winter. I am wearing long johns with t-shirts. Still haven't gotten out the light slacks. It is maddening to get dressed and realize with the first step outside that you are dressed wrong, oh well the joys of SE Indiana.

I have been working on CIT got the charts done for the sleeves:

And the sleeves started, since I am trying to stay ahead of Pat. The back is on a holder and in time out.

The mindless knitting has been the body of FLAK:

OMIGOSH I love that cuff! If I ever get to the end of my sleeve I may have to request directions from you. I'm not crazy about a ribbed cuff, and yours gives it more of a jacket look.
