The Fiber Artist

Wow, that sounds pretentious doesn't it. But it is the name of my company, so I decided to use it. This is where I will keep a record of works in progress in the hope that it will result in more productivity. It will also give me a place to ramble on about my life, so that maybe later I will remember what happened in ___ (fill in day, month, year of your choice).

IT IS FINISHED!!!

C's FLAK is finished except for blocking. I ripped the edging out over and over but I have it finished now. This is what one gets for wanting to show off in front of God and everybody. I decided that the perfect edging was a sideways knitted cable edging using the XO cable and putting the buttons and buttonholes in the center of the O's. This was not the easiest finishing I have ever done, but I am pretty proud of the way it looks.

Now I can go on with the CIT and my FLAK which has been sitting patiently waiting for me to get back to them.

I am working on the fronts of the CIT and have the finishing of my FLAK, and now that the temperatures here are in the 90's I will finish them and display them until the weather gets cool again.

Another thing that needs to get work is the socks for #2 son's birthday and I suppose that it will get done on Thursday.

The next "need to" is the sheep sweater being sewed together for the youngest granddaughter.

It will feel good to be able to work on something besides this sweater. I learned much about sideways edgings on this one.

Now to block this and call it finished.

FLAK looks great as a vest. It is truly beautiful and I like the color.
